Maybole Parish Church

The Carrick Centre has become the hub of the community since it’s opening, providing a wide range of facilities for the residents of Maybole, the surrounding areas.

The Carrick Centre is located adjacent to Maybole train station and was conceived as a multifunctional facility for community events while providing flexible spaces and an auditorium for worship and large functions.

The former brown field site has been transformed to provide Cafe area, soft play, meeting rooms, 200 seat auditorium/worship space, games hall/theatre/function space and smaller function space to hold 60-70 seats. These areas are served by ancillary accommodation including kitchen/servery facilities, reception office and toilets.

FLN were involved in the design of the M&E services from conception to completion and handover of the building.

As part the work FLN incorporated into the design a number of energy efficient and renewable components including a wood pellet biomass boiler plant, underfloor heating and energy efficient lighting.

FLN were also heavily involved in the design and installation of specialist systems including theatre/mood lighting systems, cinema projection and sound systems to allow movie nights and a sound system for general use.
