Hill Street

Hill Street in Charing Cross, Glasgow holds a prominent position in this sensitive site within the middle of a historic and complex area of Glasgow adjacent to the M8 motorway.

The project was a partnership between Charing Cross Housing Association and Ogilvie Homes, for the construction of five seven storey blocks comprising 60 flatted properties.

FLN were employed as part of this partnership agreement to provide the Consultancy Services for the, Mechanical and Electrical Building Services and Structural/Civil Engineering Services.

The M&E works comprised the provison of all external services and utilities to the buildings, all common services including landlord services and the internal services layouts. Liaision with the utility companies both for existing and new services was critical.

FLN have also been employed in the remaining two blocks to provide Fire Engineered Design and options for the common areas.

FLN were employed by Ogilvie Homes, as part of their partnership agreement with Charing Cross Housing Association, to provide the Mechanical and Electrical Services Consultancy Design for this prestigious affordable housing development. The design had to be in keeping with the modern nature of the buildings but also the needs of the Housing Association and their resident’s high demands for modern and affordable living.

FLN provide the design, drawings, specification and tender documentation for the services installation. FLN also carried out the site inspections and technical assistance for the services.
